Anyone else's Moto X fix itself?

Within the first month of ownership of my 2014 2nd Gen Moto X (back in January) my accelerometer stopped working. So I put in a repair request with Motorola. After searching online, I found that some people were able to fix their device by dropping it to get the acceleromter unstuck. So I threw it at my carpet floor (with a case on) and it worked! I canceled the repair ticket I had with Motorola.

Yesterday, after putting on a new screen protector, my earphone stopped working, only the speaker phone worked. After a restart, messing with settings, a factory reset, it still didn't work. I put in a repair ticket with Motorola. Then it magically started working again.

Anyone else have similar issues?
