Let's get this out of the way from the start. I can't stand The Big Bang Theory. The only thing I like about it is the intro song because the Barenaked Ladies are okay in my book. I find the show, like a number of other people, incredibly painful to watch and yet I've seen more episodes than I'd care to admit. What bugs me the most are the jokes that just fall so flat and yet are accompanied with a riotous laugh track to cue you in that supposedly something so hilarious was just said. Plenty of other shows use laugh tracks but usually it's in a subtle way that you barely notice it's even there. With The Big Bang Theory, the laugh track is used and abused to the point that when it's removed the painful cringy-ness of the show becomes even more evident.

Despite my hatred for the show I have a soft spot for r/bigbangcomics - a subreddit dedicated to highlighting just how terrible the script, the character interactions and the jokes are in The Big Bang Theory. These comics get to the heart of the show, condensing down a half hour of annoying jokes into one easy to read comic strip that serves basically the same purpose - to leave you confused, annoyed, and wanting more Sheldon catch-phrases. Whether it's Shelder giving IT advice, or making science jokes or just talking about theorteical fisiks, the subreddit offers a lot of well timed jokes relevant to your life.

The variety in the comics is astounding too, with some being charmingly simple to others that genuinely might give me nightmares (but then again the show will do that too so it's pretty fitting). I'm not sure why I like reading these so much, I guess it's mainly because the comics are often much more funny than the show itself (and without the annoying laughtrack).

I spoke with the moderators about their subreddit, and only one wanted to talk to me, so here are their answers.
