Would like some opinions... Starting completely over from scratch.

Had a MASSIVE collection of decks in a storage shed that was leveled by a tornado during a hurricane years ago. My current fiancee dropped her long gone magic addiction stories on me recently. I had no idea. So much more attractive to me now. 11/10 lol. We have been talking about starting over... Building new decks and playing again. Is this even possible? I am sure the rules have changed dramatically with new effects and turn based rules.... Would we ( as old school magic players) be able to "get it?" I miss playing so much and the fact that we have this in common would really bring alot of fun to the relationship. We just had a new baby 8/7/15 and will be around the house a good bit. This could liven up the days for us some more.
