Was anyone else impressed with Carly Rae Jepsen's new album?

I know this isn't typical r/futurepopmusic content, but hear me out.

Carly Rae Jepsen recently released E·MO·TION and I was really impressed with it, production-wise. A lot of the songs seem to be drawing from recent indie electropop trends including a few "futurepop" ones. All That was produced by Devonte Hynes (the guy behind Blood Orange). E·MO·TION sounds very HAIM inspired. Warm Blood is decidedly synthwave in a similar vein as Chromatics and College or anyone from the Drive soundtrack for that matter.

I think more generally, mainstream pop music is experiencing a sort of renaissance in that it's becoming cool to draw upon all of these electropop and synthpop trends that have thus far been underground. Charli XCX finally went mainstream. Taylor Swift's 1989 was heavily inspired by Haim, CHVRCHES, M83, etc. and most recently, Demi Lovato's Cool for the Summer is totally synthwave and features a great electro-house synth hook. I'm pretty excited to see where this all goes. Maybe soon we're be hearing CHVRCHES on the radio *fingers crossed*.
