Leaving one temp-to-hire for another.

First reddit post!!

Anyway, I'm looking for some insight/advice.

I've been working at this temp-to-hire job for this one company for a little over a month. I like it here, but no real clear indication of going perm. They like me here, but no talks of it. About two weeks ago, I get a call from another agency for another job. It's closer to home, has great benefits, and higher salery, but has to start out temp-to-hire based on a trial period. So I would be getting less pay, but the potiental to be earning more if I do well. So I said fuck it, interviewed with the company, did a personality test, and got an offer!!

So my delimma is, 1). How should I leave my current company (since they want me to start in a week) on a good note. 2). Should I ask about my current company about going perm? I'm pretty comfortable at my job now, but that might be a problem being too comforatble (hell, im on reddit now, at work). 3) I need a drug screen. I'm getting one at the end of the week, and should have no problem, but god forbid something comes up and I fail, I don't want to be out of the new job and the previous one, so I was thinking of telling my current company monday is my last day (just to be safe), or should I still give them more heads up?

This new job came out of nowhere, I didn't sign up for it, but the oportunity sounds promising. I'm just hoping I make the right decision.

And for anyone wondering the positions, its going from a supply planner position to a buyer position.

I know this post might seemed jumbled, but any insight would help. Thanks!
