What should I do if I want to apply a purchase towards credit, but my credit limit is not high enough?

Credit

There's a product I want to buy. It's a computer. And I'm set on buying this particular computer. However, my credit limit doesn't cover me buying the computer and the display together (or the computer alone).

I'm not going to change my mind on what computer I get jusut because my credit limit is not enough to cover it.

What would be my best option in a case like this? Many people have suggested putting the computer and display on layaway and pay it off with credit gradually, which sounds like a good idea, if it weren't for the fact that I needed the computer RIGHT AWAY. My current laptop's hard drive is roasted and I have only between now and the school year's beginning to get a computer.

What would be my best option in this case? Is there any way that I could purchase the computer and the display while the entire purchase is contributed towards my credit? Or do I have to bite the bullet and pay with debit (which would be very disappointing for such a big purchase)?
