Windows 7 refuses to recognize keyboard

specs Windows 7 SP1 64-bit keyboard: Rosewill RGB 80 other specs Z97-SLI i5 4690K H80i GT GTX 970 WD 3 tb HDD I've tried running the program from microsoft to fix it and it recognizes that hardware isnt being recognized but cant properly fix it. I tried installing drivers but it needs my keyboard to be recognized by windows first. what else can i do besides buying a new one?
