Noob Questions.

So I'm getting a Psp 2000 or 1000 soon,.

I've got a Few questions:

• I'd like to install 6.61 ME how substantial is the brick rate on installing Perm firmware, I'm aware of the motherboard thing & the models as well steps.

• I'd like Custom firmware boot Screens, for games or whatever I'm aware there's a high rate of messing with Flash 0 but If done proper little chance something will break & if it does you've got backups right?

I've Rooted & installed custom roms to Android & Tablets as well have hacked a few Wii's but that's as far as my experience goes PSP is a new turf for me.
