Everyone do me a favor. Go to Google News Search and do a search for butt dial, pocket dial, accidental cell. How many results did you get?

I found zero for butt dial and two for pocket dial. The two results? "Nothing Here But Kid Stuff" and "Microsoft Xbox Presents The 2015 Call of Duty Championship".

It's obvious why CG didn't come up with a pocket dial theory. Pocket dialing wasn't in her vocabulary. We talk about this all the time. Cell phones were a new and emerging technology, which is why "Adnan didn't consider he'd be tracked via his phone" or why "CG did a poor job cross examining AW," depending on which side of the fence you sit on. The earliest source for "accidental wireless calls" was in 2003 (found via the Pocket Dial sources on Wikipedia), or at least that's the earliest source I can find. But these transcripts don't debunk the Nisha-call-pocket-dial theory. Just like diseases exist before they are given names, pocket dialing happened before it had a name. Why didn't Adnan suggest it during his trial? Because he didn't have his phone, Jay had it.
