[Ontario] Mom passed away. I could be the executor. What now.

So this morning my mother passed away... I do know that as of 3 months ago she had me listed as her executor and beneficiary.

That may have changed. Tl;Dr she started seeing this guy that made her disown her family.

I have no idea where to look for a will, or how to get access to it (her boyfriend attacked me 3 months ago and I've been issued a do not contact order since). Even if there's a will, could this jackass contest it somehow?

I'm being vague, I know. I don't know how all this works or what questions to ask.

I want to retain counsel, but do probate lawyers work on contingency?
