Benefit They're Real Push-up Liner. Problems?

When the They're Real Liner came out by Benefit I was excited to try it out. I didn't want to buy a full size because I heard of some many people not liking it. So when the mini with the full size mascara came out I was all over it. I came to find that I LOVED the liner. I immediately went back and purchased the full-size. I never understood why people weren't liking it as much as I did. My close friend even told me she hated it once she bought a full-size, but that she loved the mini. She tried to explain that the full-size didn't work as well. But I had never had a problem. She ended up exchanging it for another just to see if maybe there was something wrong with the one she purchased. And when she exchanged it she did not have a problem with the new one. I thought she was just crazy...until I purchased my third full-size and realized I was having difficulties with it. The product was not coming out of the tube well at all. It takes about 4 turns to get it to come out and I feel it doesn't apply as well (I think because not enough product is coming out). Is it possible some of the tubes are malfunctioning? Why wouldn't it be all of them?

I'm posting this because I want to know if my friend and I are crazy or if anyone else has noticed these issues. Thanks for reading. :)
