A thought on the caliber of acting in Halt and Catch Fire
I've gotta say, for the most part during season two, I completely forget that I'm even watching actors at work. They inhabit their characters so seamlessly, and the sets are so believable, that it's kind of like entering a time warp to 1985.
Now I know, there were a few plot twists this season that were a little rich, Cameron got so histrionic, Gordon went off the deep end a couple times, and it's hard to tell where Joe's genius ends and his insanity begins. But season two ended on such a strong note, that the overall impression I'm left with is one of wonderment and awe and being deeply impressed by the quality of the show. Would you guys agree?
