Best place to put cage in the house?

Hello!

We are adopting two guinea pigs very soon and I have already prepared most of what they need. Now I am trying to figure out where is the best place in the house to put the cage.

I don't want them to be lonely, so I decided a room like the living room would be best because that's where we spend almost all our time. I know they should be a in a bright room but not near direct sunlight or up against a window. I'm also trying to avoid the vents (heat/draft). The last thing I'm worried about is having them too close to something loud like the TV.

Our apartment is nice but small. I know it's nearly impossible to give advice without seeing the place or knowing measurements but any general tips would be appreciated...

I want the best possible location for our piggies!
