Volume icon becomes invisible?

Hi everyone,

I installed Windows 10 a couple days back and I noticed my volume icon in the task bar would disappear whenever I would launch an application that I have chosen to be always shown. Here's what it looks like. In the first image, you'll see the volume icon appear normally. In the second image, when I launched Pushbullet, the volume icon seems to be to cause a space to the right of the green circle (Pushbullet) and disappear. Upon quitting the application, the volume icon reappears. This happens with other applications as well.

I've tried "cmd /c del %userprofile%\AppData\Local\IconCache.db /a" through task manager but no luck. Any ideas?
