Anyone know of any good dog breeder?

Recently my best friend in the whole world Bob the German Shepard died. Now I think it's time to add a new member to our family (not to replace Bob, that would be impossible) and I'm not sure where to find a puppy to purchase. I won't ever buy from a pet store (don't want to support puppy mills) and none of the rescue organizations will let me adopt their dogs because we don't have a fenced in yard.

I want to buy a pure bred puppy, some type of medium breed, even smallish-medium. Bob was HUGE, the largest German Shepard I've ever met and I've met a lot. This time I want one that's a little smaller. A Corgi would be my first choice but I'm open to lots of other breeds if I can't find a Corgi breeder. I'd be willing to travel if necessary (Chicago,Dayton etc.)
