Idea/project to help Rand Paul win the White House. All are welcome to get involved.
Notice how people like Trump, Bush, and now Fiorina are getting all the media attention? Of course you do, and as you may remember four years ago, the media gave Ron the aame treatment. If you are as frustrated with the Paul family's message being neglected by the media, please continue reading.
Many conservatives across the country, especially those who will participate in the primary, listen to conservative talk radio. Luckily, most radio shows allow listeners to call in to ask questions and share their opinions. In case you don't see where I'm going with this, if somebody listens to a local station every day on the way to work, and every day they hear someone call in to applaud Rand Paul about his tax plan, foreign policy, and small-government message, his message will start being heard. Last cycle, Ron Paul won over a very unreliable demographic (young people, Facebook "slactivists", etc.). The people that listen to these shows are very committed to the primary and are highly likely to vote.
Obviously, Rand appeals to many libertarians, but his message also can resonate with Republican conservatives who are fed up with the Washington Machine. This is just an idea I have in my head at this point, but I would love to start organizing and reaching out to people (especially in Iowa or New Hampshire) who would be willing to start calling in to Radio stations. Remember, many campaigns call houses directly. I personally find this tactic desparate and ineffective, but one call to a radio show will be heard by thousands of listeners who are interested in politics and who are looking for new ideas.
Again, this is just an idea, and I'm just typing this out on a bus, but if anyone finds this idea interesting, comment or message me directly. I was thinking of starting a Facebook page/email list for people who would like to help Rand by calling into conservative talk radio shows. Please up-vote this idea if you like it, and comment if you would be interested in organizing something. Any ideas or suggestions would be highly appreciated, too!
