How I got my MBP to run CSGO perfectly
Mac Gamer here, leave all trash comments at the doorstep.
My computer is a 2011 15" MBP, with a shitty Graphics chip, a shitty CPU and shitty RAM.
-
Prevent overheating, it shuts down the dedicated graphics chip. Best way I found is to elevate the bottom case away from any surface and cool off the gap under the computer (I use a regular fan).
-
Run Smoothemouse to turn off mouse accel (also get a real gaming mouse please). settings
-
Make sure the automatic graphics switcher is disabled (uncheck the box).
-
The most important thing i figured out lately is to set my max FPS to 100 (console command: fpsmax 100). It prevents overheating and this is the one setting that makes my game run perfectly smoothe.
-
Finally, make sure you find the perfect crosshair and mouse sensitivity for your gaming comfort.
Enjoy the tips, I hope this helps my fellow Mac users
