Small Chests bugged?

Hi aqua-people! I just started playing a couple of days ago and love it. I think I've twice experienced bugs with using a small chest in the game.

I had about 1 hour in game, and a handful of resources saved in 2 small chests in the life pod. I was standing on the pod to watch the sun set and suddenly the the pod and I were flung hundreds of meters away. I got back in the pod and noticed my small chests and all contained items were gone :( It took me a second to figure out that I'd been flung away, but I realized the sea below me was different and I was able to swim back to the spawn and find my constructor still floating in place. I quit and reload from a save that was about 20 minutes old where I had just one chest at the time. It's worth noting that the full chests seemed to make the escape pod list heavily to one side. It's almost like the character couldn't stand up straight.

Second bug was after I'd played about 3 hours more. I built a 1 room base about 20m down on the shallow reef below spawn. I had brought the chest down from the escape pod and it was filled with copper ore. I added a foundation plat or 2 to the seafloor around the base and when I returned to the interior of the base, the chest was gone along with the contents. I had a large locker that was unscathed. I hadn't saved in a while, so I didn't reload.

Any thoughts?
