My grandmother might have a problem

Recently, through a series of events, I've wound up living at my grandmother's house for a time. Everything was going great until yesterday.

With her consent, I went through her cupboards and fridge and discarded of expired goods. When she woke up - more than six hours later, she saw that her fridge was looking bare and proceeded to go through the large trash bin and fish out things that she explained "never go bad," including "anything with vinegar or citrus" and any cheese.
