Quick question on anti-social behaviour

Well lads,

The mother lives alone in a council house. Its a small cul de sac (14 houses) and she has been living there for the past few years without any hiccups.

There is also a drug dealer/gang leader living in the house next door for the past year or two and for the most part he's a nice enough type of lad. The odd late night boozy party here and there but nothing too serious.

But then just this week we find out that the council is giving one of the other houses in the street to a grandparent of a rival gang member and its started a facebook war. I know its only facebook and could be empty threats but theres been threats of burning out cars, and putting bullets through windows and stuff like this.

So Im a bit worried about the mother stuck right in the middle of this. Shes old and she lives there on her own. Is there anything we can do? Can you appeal it to the council or ask the gards to intervene or something.
