Airport transportation for a larger group (8-10 people)

Wondering what the best option here from the airport to French quarter, and if anyone has a recommendation for a particular company. Not interested in public transit/shuttles, either cabs or a limo service.

I know cabs are $14 per person once its over 2 passengers, so in our case with a larger group all arriving at the airport at roughly the same time, would we be better off pre-booking a limo, or should we just stick with cabs?
