Shiny Charm, is it worth?

I have about 685 in the dex right now, and I wanted some other people's opinion on the shiny charm. Sure it would be cool to get some random trophy shinies, but I'm really interested in breeding them. Does any have experience with breeding with shiny charm? Did you notice a distinguishable difference in your shiny output?

The reason I started to get the shiny charm in the first place is because I spent 650 eggs trying to hatch a shiny competitive froakie with protean. Not even an imperfect shiny and I was using mesuda method too (Ironically I got a shiny semi-comp bannette on like egg 20 of not even trying to breed for a shiny and then a trophy sableye on like my 3rd egg). So I decided to start filling the dex but am down to the last stretch which is pretty much the hardest.

Should I waste my time and resources completing the dex if all I want is to hatch shinies?

Edit: lol thanks guys, I'm going to try to finish it now haha. What's the easiest way? I have a bunch of annoying item evolutions and some obsucure 4th/5th gen mons. Should I just grind it out on the gts?
