One way to make a quick, free map of ancestor birth locations

I threw together a quick map today for a relative who was visiting the country of our ancestors. It took about five minutes and it was free with Google's "My Maps". I use other mapping services, like ESRI's Story Maps, for bigger projects but today I needed something quick and easy.
