Review: Factory Throwouts #59.
So I keep spending money on other hobbies so I still do not have a great humidor still(But I now have parts of my UAV I am building and my fish has a fancy LED light).. But I am stocking a tupidor with all sorts of things. Just got some less expensive sticks for just an every day smoke. Still new to reviews so I will try to get the relevant parts in.
Construction - Looks to be a machine made short filler cigar but for a buck a piece who cares. The construction seems to hold up. Smoked a few of them and had nothing approaching an issue. The cap is a bit thick on some of them.
First light - The flavor caught me a bit off guard. Had strong notes of leather with hints of coffee and a cedar camp fire. No harshness to it. Very pleasant surprise. The cigar had a good draw too.
First third - The flavor held pretty consistently with the start of the cigar. It continued with leather being the primary flavor with notes of coffee and cedar. The smoke was a bit thinner than I would like. But if I got a good amount during a draw it did taste creamy.
Second third - these cigars seems to be holding its ash quite well and the construction is holding up. Smoked a few at this point and it seems relatively consistent. The flavor also has not changed really at all nor has the level of smoke.
Third third - So far these seem to be very one dimensional. At the end there are notes of pepper that begin to pick up as it approaches the end. The flavor is consistent for the most part and the construction holds up throughout the entire time.
My final thoughts are this would be a great mowing the lawn smoke or I want to have a beer/scotch/wine/bourbon/rum/other drink with it and have an hour long smoke. There isn't anything really special about it but it is rather tasty for the cost and I think this may be something I will be getting more of for my every day smoke. Also word of warning it seems there is also a #59 sweet and I have not tried that yet.
I would rate these around 7/10
