Question about current state of battlefield 4

Just bought a ps4 recently. Saw a post today of someone asking about bf4 and thought that might be a fun one to pick up. Are populated games easy to find? Are there high ticket count tdm servers, like there were/are on pc? Or is it too late to get into?
