[MODPOST] Speaking In and Out of Character

MODPOST

Hey-o.

I would just like to remind everyone that here at r/ElderScrollsPowers we have two modes of talking: (1) in-character and (2) out of character.

In-character (IC) talking is for things like role-playing or communicating with other characters in-game. If someone hosts a grand feast in one of their castles and invites other players to it, then those players would all talk IC. All dialogue/diplomacy happens IC. IC is also the default mode of talking. Unless someone tags their comments/responses otherwise, assume that they are talking IC.

Out of character (OOC) talking is exactly the opposite. To talk OOC, one must preface their post as such. If I was role-playing with someone and I wanted to them something that was relevant to the role-play, I could write something like:

Saint Vivec sits down at the table with Muatra.

[OOC] Muatra is his penis [/OOC]

Vivec begins to stroke Muatra.

etc.

Remember that here at ESP we encourage role-playing, so please try to talk in-character as much as possible. We want to see a lot of responses in the comment sections of your posts!
