Kali Linux 2.0 VM - Tor and Proxychains
Well i am just stuck. So i was reading a lot about the Kali Linux and penetration testing and etc. So i used VirtualBox, installed Kali Linux 2.0 and set the network mode to Bridge and i have the connection inside the Kali, it is set as wired connection and i can see my ip adress on the internet.
Now i used apt-get install tor to install tor, service tor start and service tor status to check it is working and it is. I also added socket5 to proxychains and when i enter in the terminal "proxychains iceweasel www.ipchicken.com" it gives me the same ip adress it gave me before the tor and proxychains, it does not change.
So i was trying to figure it out but i just cant. Any help would be appreciated.
Also, proxy in the settings menu in Kali is set to None right now, tried with automatic and none and no results just to point that out.
And one more question, is the Mastering Kali Linux for Advanced Penetration Testing book and Social Engineering book any good? I am reading them and using them as source of knowledge on Kali with the use of Google and Youtube and reddits of course.
