His wife must be so heart broken.... I'm interested to see how his wife's statement regarding the Ashley-Madison scandal will differ from her statement earlier this year that she was standing by him when it first came to the public's attention that he had molested his sisters when he was younger.

Their hands are already tied at this point because they can't dismiss gay marriage as sinful and "that which ruins the sanctity of traditional marriage" just to then get divorced themselves or they will actually be admitting they are wrong.

I remember an interview where (I believe it was josh "the model husband Duggar) one of the nut jobs said that being gay isn't a son, it's acting on your desires that angers god. That gays can be gay as long as they don't have gay sex or date other members of the same sex. I guess he didn't think fucking a ton of chicks and molesting a bunch if young girls isn't angering god. I get he wasn't getting laid because he kept his wife busy and pregnant. I can't imagine his sex life will improve.

I'm no Duggar defender (when this letter penned by Mrs Duggar's uterus first came out I almost fell out of my chair laughing), but this is either a misinformed view or a naive view of any kind of Christianity that I have ever heard of (liberal, traditional, or even fundamentalist). If your spouse has an affair, you may leave your marriage or not. Your choice, their fault. I'm sure there is some nutjob out there who disagrees, but I'm sure both Bill Gothard and the Duggars are on board with divorce as a wholesome (not sinful) option in a case like this. assuming that Josh Duggar was actually successful, of course. lol, can you imagine? feeling like you are bound by your religion to be stuck with that guy because you had the misfortune of being married to such a pernicious loser that he couldn't culminate the affair he was pursuing?

Oh definitely not! don't get me wrong, I think 100% divorce is acceptable and would think that was the best outcome for this but if have to disagree. I think there are a lot of religious people that feel divorce is a sin because you should stick by your spouse and try to work things out no matter whAt type of fucked up situation they put you in. It's not right, I don't agree with it, but it happens.

I have trouble feeling sorry for someone that believes the crap she believes in. It takes a certain level of gullibility to be religious, but the crap she believes in basically means she will literally believe anything. I bet he could say God asked him to plant his seed and she would believe it.

I feel sorry for them because I know there's a chance that they never knew anything else... maybe they don't know they're bigoted, cruel, and being exploited.
It's hard to think that someone could reach adulthood not knowing that there are different types of people in the world and that one isn't "better" than another.
