#SITUATION

---

Following the fall of the incumbent monarchy and second exile of royal family, Socialist and Royalist groups fought for supremacy in Takistan. The west refuses to recognise the socialists as the legitimate government of Takistan, resulting in the deployment of a large international coalition in neighbouring countries.

The major concern for the royalists was the alleged acquisition of Russian chemical weapons by the Socialists. The Russian government denies any involvement in the conflict. The coalition promised to intervene if the Socialists deploy WMDs.

Different western intelligence organisation then confirmed the Socialists did indeed posses chemical weapons, many of them improperly handled and positioned close to major cities. In an emergency UN gathering, the security council approved a peace keeping mission with four votes in favour and one abstention.

Our platoon is stationed in FOB Harold, near the major town of Zargabad. The enemy is numerous and supported by several (lightly) armoured vehicles and a number of BM-21 MLRS systems, however they suffer from poor logistics and outdated tactics.

#MISSION

Our platoon is comprised of multiple sections and a two-man fire support element. Sadly, a couple years of austerity measures left most of the British vehicles with an added layer of composites. We will therefore be doing what makes us great: we're hoofin it. Old school British infantry tactics, tried and tested, should favour us in the urban warfare we'll be engaging in.

In addition to seizing the town itself, there are a number of objectives for the Army platoon. There are two western journalists staying at the Zargabad hotel who have not been heard of since at least a full week. Find the them and report on their condition. The hotel is known to be guarded by enemy soldiers. Furthermore, the Socialist airforce is currently preparing the Zargabad airfield for Su-25 operations. Command asks you destroy any jets currently at the airfield.

In addition to our army platoon, an SAS team has been deployed behind enemy lines in two Pinkies (although they more khaki than pink these days) to find evidence of WMDs and to destroy the BM-21s posing a major threat to friendly forces in the region.

SAS OBJECTIVES:

• Hunt down and destroy the 3×BM-21 in the area north of Zargabad

• Search the suspected WMDs storage site | Twitpic of not-Russian WMDs sent out by a Socialist soldier.
