Real Time Battles causes my game to crash on Windows 10

Title says it all, whenever I enter a Real Time Battle, Shogun 2 crashes and I have to restart my PC (Since the Task Manager isn't on top when I Ctrl-Alt-Delete).

The game crash when it's done loading in the map, both the music and sound effects from both the loading screen and the map itself are played (I even heard some voice clips for the soldiers idle chatter).

My hardware:

  • Graphics card: Sapphire Radeon R9 380 2GB

  • CPU: AMD FX-8320

  • Motherboard: ASUS M5A97 R2.0, Socket-AM3+

tried verifying game cache?

Just tried, claimed that all files where valid (but still downloaded a small 22 MB patch), will try too play a live battle when I get time.
