What is both an effective and frugal method to repel mosquitoes from my yard?
This year the mosquitoes are out for blood. Looking for something for the whole yard, not just like citronella candles while I'm outside.
I've already gotten rid of all sources of standing water, removed all debris from my yard (branches, leaves, yard clutter), cut back all bushes and trees and keep yard well manicured. There are not really any shady or damp areas to my yard, and they seem to be mostly in the grass. Like when I mow the lawn they scatter and I can't be outside for a few minutes without getting eaten alive.
I have seen different sprays but am looking for something cheap that is also pet safe for curious dogs and cats. I plan on putting in some mosquito repelling plants next spring, but need something for now.
Thanks!
