First HF QSO!

I've had my general for about a year now, and I've been listening to HF with an inherited IC-735 for a few years. Well, this weekend I finally built a dipole and rigged it up on the ceiling for giggles (ground floor apartment, ugh) I have no way to check the SWR, except through the radio's built in meter. It's pretty high, but them's the breaks.

Using 10 watts on JT-65, I finally got out tonight (after a fruitless afternoon), and made a few QSOs as far away as Honduras. Pretty gratifying for Macguyvering a bunch of stuff to grandpa's old radio!
