"The Die is Cast" Respect the Superior Spider-Man (Marvel 616)
Doctor Otto Octavius (Aka Doctor Octopus) was for years one of Spider-Man’s most dangerous villains. Unfortunately for the good doctor, as a result of all the injuries sustained in his clashes with Spider-Man his body was falling apart and he was dying. Desperate to survive and to finally defeat his nemesis, in his final act as Doc Ock he used an Octobot to swap minds with Peter Parker. As Spider-Man, Otto makes use of his great intelligence and new body to protect New York and its people. While he can be kind of a dick, and is significantly more brutal than Peter, even being more than willing to kill, Otto does want to do good and tries he best not be just as good of a hero as Parker, but a Superior one.
STRENGTH
As Spiderman-Man, Otto, like Peter, has the proportionate strength of a spider, but unlike Peter is less likely to hold back and pull his punches.
-
Soon after becoming Spider-Man he punches Scorpion’s jaw off.
-
Tanks a punch from Carnage as well as a surprise attack from behind
INTELLIGENCE
While Peter is incredibly smart and frequently used his intelligence to defeat enemies, Doc Ock was a supervillain for years with no real powers other than his mind, and has even outsmarted the likes of Hank Pym and Tony Stark. Throughout his time in Peter’s body SpOck makes heavy use of his intelligence to be a Superior Spider-Man.

SPEED
In Spider-Man’s body SpOck has the proportionate speed of a spider and so is significantly faster and more agile than any regular human.
-
Dodges a simultaneous attack from Beetle, Shocker, and Boomerang
-
Fast enough to battle a vengeful Vulture, Scorpion and Boomerang at once
-
Dodges multiple blasts coming at the speed of light, before getting hit
SPIDER SENSE
Just like Peter, SpOck has a spider-sense that warns him of incoming danger. This in combination with his speed allows him to dodge most attacks.
-
It is possible for something to be too fast for his spider-sense to react to
-
The spider-sense can get overwhelming when there’s too much danger.
EQUIPTMENT & RESOURCES
SpOck frequently uses his super-human intellect to construct gear to aid him in his heroics
-
He added claws to the spider-suit that can inject tracers into their target
-
The lenses can access information on other heroes and villains
-
They can also detect things like energy build-ups and specific magnetic signatures
BRUTALITY
SpOck is darker and edgier than Peter Parker, as a result he is a much lethal and brutal opponent than Peter.
-
SpOck uses impact webbing on Peter’s friends so that they don’t learn his secret.
-
Keeps beating up Boomerang after he surrenders to send a message to other criminals
-
Stuffs civilians in the trunk of a car and wrecks it because they made fun of one of his friends
-
