Hey, everyone. So I wanted to post one last update on my brother – the one who has been posting updates about his wife’s daycare in Chicago – since he won’t be posting here anymore. I guess you can say I have taken over his internet accounts since he won’t be using them. He was admitted to Chester Mental Health Center just this weekend, per court order, and will be held indefinitely. However, I was going through his things today, and I found this journal that he had been writing, parts of which he posted here online. So I started reading it, which led me to this website and his account, and I figured you guys would want to know what happened to him, even though I quite honestly don’t know what to believe just yet. Anyways, here’s the last few entries he wrote before being committed:

So I’ve finally decided what I need to do. Before I get taken back to court, I need to get back in that daycare center and see if Cole is really alive. I feel like I’m slowly losing touch with ytilaer…I have no idea if my son is alive or what my wife saw, and I desperately need to find out. So I’m going to go back tonight. Oh, and ComEd called back – they were there today, and couldn’t find anything wrong with the power. But they said they did replace the nightlights as a courtesy.

I went back last night! Wonk yllanif I won dna! But I’m getting ahead of myself, so let me back up a bit.
Last night, I decided I was going to go back to the daycare facility, regardless of my situation with the court. I simply had to know what was going on, and I forced myself to go and find out. It was about 11:30pm again, since I was trying to be consistent with the time. I took public transportation so that nobody would see my car parked there because it’s still all covered in crime scene tape and hasn’t reopened just yet. So that added to the whole eerie feeling that was going on, but I was determined so see that baby again so I slowly slinked closer to the front staircase which led to the door. As soon as I got to the stairs I realized I had forgotten my flashlight like an idiot, so I pulled out my cell phone and activated the camera flash in order to have at least some light in case the nightlights were out.
Strangely enough, on the outside of the door, somebody had written in red crayon, “Emoclew!” Seeing that made me a bit more cautious, especially since there was still crime scene tape everywhere, so I slowly opened the door using my wife’s keys and entered as quietly as I could. Instinctively I flipped the light switch, and to my surprise, all the lights turned on right away illuminating the whole room. In fact, they were too bright because I had to cover my eyes for a few seconds, and when I opened them, I saw a baby’s shadow moving backwards across the room, but the room was empty except for me. That freaked me out a little bit, so I turned the lights off again, and that’s when I saw him – that baby, who was possibly my dead son, crawling backwards towards me. For some reason, all the fear that was still inside of me left at that point, and was instead replaced by so much hope and joy it was indescribable. I rushed over to the baby, turned him around, and looked into his eyes. It was him! It WAS Cole! I couldn’t believe it, and couldn’t explain how after all of this time, I was inexplicably holding my dead son who seemed very much alive. He was very, very cold, and his eyes were completely black, but I could tell by his face that it was him! At this point I started to cry, being so overcome with emotion and all. Cole just stared back at me intently, and I just couldn’t look away despite my emotion. He seemed to be able to communicate with me telepathically as well, since I got the impression from him that 1) I couldn’t take him home, and that he had to stay at the daycare and 2) that I could come back and visit him every night if I wanted.
After a long while, I eventually put him down on the ground so he could resume crawling, and once again he started crawling backwards in the shape of a star. As weird as that sounds, I didn’t even care – I was too overjoyed to see him. I crawled backwards on the ground with him, and played with him for maybe an hour, before I realized I had something else important to do. Since he only seemed to understand me when I spoke backwards to him, I told him, “Od ot krow tnatropmi emos sah yddad. Worromot kcab eb ll’i.” After lots of parting kisses on his cold lips and a few hugs, I watched as he crawled backwards back into the shadows and headed towards the door. I then carefully locked up (the lights were still off), and left the daycare.
By the time the CTA got back to my house, it was a little after 2AM, so I still had a good 3-4 hours before sunrise. I knew exactly what I had to do next. I grabbed my shovel, threw it in the back of my car, and headed out to the suburbs where Cole was buried. I just knew that if I got my son his body back, that everything would be OK! It all made sense now – what my wife had seen, what was going on at the daycare, everything! How stupid I felt for being so scared earlier.
When I got to the cemetery, I was able to drive right in unquestioned since luckily there were no gates (it was kind of small and a slightly older cemetery). I quickly parked, turned off the car and the headlights, and grabbed my shovel. I headed directly over to Cole’s grave, and started digging. I never quite realized how much work it is to dig a grave, but let me tell you, diary, it is hard! It took me at least an hour just to get down to Cole’s coffin, but I had an unusual amount of energy, so I really didn’t take any breaks. As soon as I reached it, I realized I wouldn’t be able to lift it, so I decided I would just open it right there. After fiddling with the coffin for a bit, I was finally able to open it, and I don’t know what I was expecting, but I was still surprised.
There was my son, as expected, but his arms were frozen in an upward pose – as if he was reaching upwards towards the sky. I knew this was impossible, because when we had buried him, his arms were at his side. He had died suddenly, and at this point I realized with horror that he had probably still been alive when we buried him! To make sure, I checked the clothes he had been buried in, and of course they were soiled – he had gone to the bathroom in his pants after being buried. My wife and I had decided against embalming him due to our religious beliefs, so it was quite likely he had indeed been alive and just been in a coma or a deep sleep or something when we buried him. At this realization, I broke down. I started crying my heart out right there in the grave, upset at myself for never questioning the doctors and for rushing the funeral and the burial.
After a long period of crying, I grabbed Cole’s body, wrapped it in a blanket that I had, and brought him back with me into the car. I didn’t even bother covering the grave, and instead drove home. By the time I got home, it was almost 6am, so I set Cole in my bed and went to sleep next to him. At that moment everything felt like it would finally be OK once again.

Diary, tonight I’m going to head back to the daycare center again. Wish me luck.
And that is the last diary entry my brother ever wrote. That night the police were called to the daycare due to people seeing light coming from the basement after hours, and when they got there, my brother was inside with a bunch of candles lit, and a giant red pentagram spray painted on the carpet, with my dead nephew’s body in the center. The police arrested him since he had violated his bail agreement, and of course they charged him with desecrating a grave site as well. The judge, in light of this new evidence, had him committed to Chester Mental Health Center to undergo further testing while he is awaiting trial, since he has quite clearly in my opinion gone insane. Every time he speaks he speaks backwards, and although he has always had dark brown eyes, I swear they are completely black now.
Based upon this journal, I decided to have an autopsy performed on my nephew’s body to see if he was, in fact, buried alive, and I just got the results today – he was definitely alive when he was buried (although it appears he was extremely sedated). We’ve also recently found out that Cole was never taken to a hospital to be pronounced dead. Funeral arrangements and everything were made, but we can’t find a death certificate listing the cause of death or any hospital records whatsoever – meaning as far as we can tell, he was simply put into a coffin by my brother and his wife and buried alive in front of all of us, which is a terrifying thought. As if things weren’t bad enough, my sister-in-law has since passed away in the ICU from her gunshot wounds, and therefore my brother will now be charged with murder. I honestly don’t even know how to react to that. Part of me is really angry, but part of me realizes that he is a sick, sick man. That being said, to this day, I don’t know what to believe regarding what happened with him, but I pray that he will find peace and that he will get the help that he sorely needs.
