Can also temporarily blacklist them (I didn't know about the busy thing until a couple months ago).

Generally once is "funny" - but chasing someone around, or doing it repeatedly is harassment.

It's been "a thing" for just over two years now.

Anidamo is right where the hell has everyone else been, this started when hunts were first released people would hold you hostage after a hunt was completed.

It's a thing, and it's funny to do it once. I do it repeatedly to my friends when we are messing around but don't do it to randoms, it's considered harassment. making sure people notice this: YOU CAN SET YOUR SEARCH INFO TO BUSY and they won't be allowed to trade you.

I remember reading from here that Yoshi was invited to a house party on tonberry and everyone, i mean literally everyone on the server asking him question and when he wants to teleport because it gets way too lag or something, they spam him with that trade request so he cant get away from the bloody lunatic "press"

How do you change it? Im not sure if he know it or not, but i read it from here and there was a fake picture of him with his middle finger that turns out he was showing his new ffxiv ring and people misused it for that moment

Open party list, right click (square on PlayStation) and select edit search info. There is a drop down menu where you can select whatever status. When busy you can not receive tells and invites of any kind.

I think tonberry has really few japanese player, but more other english-primary-speaking asian (singapore etc...) and australian.

Become lalafell so people will find it harder to target you. Totally worth.

Lalafell are actually the biggest instigators of trade cancels from my experience, for the very same reason. So much easier for them to sneak up on someone without being seen, and then they just /laugh and run off after.

I only had it happen once to me and I reported him. I was trying to get to an S Rank and I wasn't aware of the busy feature at the time (I was new). The guy wouldn't let me leave for awhile and after reporting, I didn't see him for awhile. :)

I had a guy do it to me repeatedly near the Limsa main aetheryte when I was trying to teleport away. I had to use the aetheryte to go somewhere else in Limsa so I could teleport because he wouldn't stop lol.

It was mildly useful once. A friend was teleporting away before I could give her some things so it ended up being helpful.
