Clear or coated?

I'm planning of changing the heads on my entire kit. I have a Gretsch Catalina Birch 6 piece kit and all toms are battered up clear Evans G2s with the exception of my 13" tom being a coated G2. I really like the warmth and responsiveness from coated heads. I understand that clear heads offer the most resonance and brightness, but im not really digging the plasticky tone and the lack of dynamics that clear heads offer. What are your thoughts?
