My dad loses his arm yesterday and I don't know what to do
My dad is... Maybe an alcoholic. I don't know. He is also depressed. Which I think is more true than the fact that he is alcoholic. Anyway he drinks because he is depressed. At least for me.
Yesterday I receive a text from my dad at night. He was saying "I love you" this was really odd. He often doesn't do this except when he is drunk. So when I received the text I try not to think of it and I decided to answer when I'll be woke up in the morning. Which I did. I send "I love you too" back to him.
That day I receive a call. From my mom. She said yesterday he come to our place (My mom and he is separated) and he apparently walk on the railroad. A train come and it tried to slow down and did everything to tell him to move. He didn't. He was "catch" by the train. The left side of him more precisely. His arm was in bad shape and they didn't know if they could save it.
I hoped that day that they could save it. They couldn't. So he lose a part of his arm. And I don't know what to think. I don't know if it will send him down the road or if he will try anything to go up the road again because of that event.
And since I am out of town I don't know if I would have the courage to go see him like that. I'm lost. And I don't know how to be supportive. I don't want him to go down a dark path. I want him to be good in his mind. I want a happy dad.
