NoFap: 2 week report - Physical and Social/Mental
I was scanning through the NoFap subreddit and saw a couple of posts regarding change. Some people see changes after the first week, some had to wait for 4 months. 2 weeks is one of my best streaks (no laughing at the back). There are some changes that I’ve experienced. These include, physical and social. Physical: • More energy: You’ve probably seen this in every single nofap benefits post. That’s because it’s true. In fact this is the first thing that you experience. On the 2nd day of Nofap, I could wake up on my own and don’t even need an alarm clock. Keep in mind that I’m an early bird anyways. Nevertheless, I also experienced a lot of vitality. I once only had 4 hours of sleep, yet I was still able to kick it in exercise. • Less acne: This is something that could be relevant or irrelevant. After the 6th day, my face cleared up. No more acne, blackheads were gone and my face carried on without any sebum-filled pores. Let me drop some dermatology; so semen contains zinc. Zinc is apparently important for your skin and face. So, getting rid of semen will abort the zinc, and your face will burst into pimples. Note that this is just bro-science. Please see a proper dermatologist. That’s it for physical. This is only 2 weeks and as far as physical goes, this is the only thing that may change automatically, meaning you don’t have to change your habits. Social: • More drive and motivation to come out of comfort zone. That sentence was probably the douchebaggiest way of saying you have more confidence. I just had the ability to say “f*ck it, I’ve got nothing to lose, so just do it”. For xample, I was approaching a couple of foreign exchange students and I approached them and asked them some questions. It didn’t last long, but the important thing was, I changed my ways. • More proactive. I was volunteering around the house more often and I was always on my toes, looking for work. I was still too lazy to clean my room, but I would serve the dinner plates during lunch or supper, pick up any stuff I left. • I tried more to be social. Notice that I said “tried”? that’s because I was trying. Usually, I wouldn’t do that I would shut the world, blast the PS3 and game for a whole day. Now, when I see my classmates, I try to join in.
- More concentration: I was focused on my quizzes and tests and my performance was rocketing. On the day, I had excellent memory and retained most if not all the materials that I studied. My mind was sharp and reading for some reason felt easier. I wasn't just looking at the page, but I actually read.
