What do people want the EU to do about the migrant situation?

I see a lot of people on my FB posting articles and such about how much it sucks and how the EU should be doing more to help them out. What exactly is the EU supposed to do, though? Is it to simply let the migrants into Europe? For the European nations to send their militaries to destroy ISIS? All of the articles talk about how a lot of people are dying and how Europe is terrible for allowing it to happen, but none of them suggest an actual solution for the problem.
