Resource for those who need extra writing practice

Resources

Back in my Chinese class in middle school, we used to use these practice papers that were reusable and only took water. So after trying to find something as close as possible for Japanese I found it. I really prefer to use pencil/pen on paper rather than my finger for an app (Like Skritter? I think?) I think it helps it stay in my memory longer and feels more natural.I ordered the Kuretake's writing practice set and I am so excited for it to show up.

I recommend: Kuretake Writing Practice Set with Waterbrush http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DUQW428?colid=8V9N65NON1H2&coliid=I1CABKP63CQ6KH&ref_=wl_it_dp_o_pd_nS_ttl $10.50 USD I like this one because it doesnt have a brush, it has a pen. Which is so much better than a calligraphy brush.

But if you are in a budget, you can easily use a small paintbrush and any practice paper. This one is $5 USD: http://www.amazon.com/Gridded-Magic-Practicing-Chinese-Calligraphy/dp/B004G7HV5K/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1442381394&sr=8-9

Also, the water evaporates very quickly (~30 secs - a minute at most) so by the time you reach your last block, the first one should be already dried and ready to be written on again!
