[A rant] Goddamnit, Bungie. Why Thorn?

So I had hope that they would actually push the Thorn to Year 2. That didn't happen. Of course it wouldn't, why would it? It would be a nice bloody thing.

I know a lot of people cry out that it's overpowered, I understand putting the Gjallarhorn on the cutting block, even the Ice Breaker I get. They were random, you could get them by a stroke of luck.

But the Thorn is different. You actually need to work for it. And work for it we did. Some of us cheesed the crucible by going on Rumble with friends and only killing them, some of us even cheesed Xyor. But not most. No, most, like me, suffered for it. Gave their sweat and tears to win the points in the crucible and to kill Xyor way before Vault of Glass, when 26 was a very distant dream.

And now you threw all this effort in the trash because the weapon is too powerful? Well, it had better be to justify that bloody questline!

So, yeah, I don't know what the point of this post was. I'm just mad my favorite weapon in this game is going to be left to rot.
