Any piano players here to help a guitarist learn to play piano like Paul & John?
Any one of y'all know some tips? I've been playing guitar for three years, and I'd like to consider myself an semi accomplished guitarist. I play for church all the time, and I gig with my school's jazz band at about every school event. I have a decent ear and can pick up stuff pretty quick. I think I'm capable to learn to play piano like Paul/John. I'm just absolutely clueless when it comes to piano. I'll never be a Chopin, but I know I can learn their "basic" piano. I would go to r/piano, but I feel like I'll get scoffed at since most serious piano players are very serious about their craft.
I know my basic piano chords, but I can't get that same flowy feeling that you hear on the later Beatles albums and John's piano demos. I have no clue what to do with my left hand. Any advice from y'all piano geniuses would be greatly appreciated. I believe learning piano will enhance my musicianship to a noticeable degree.
Thanks fellow Beatle nerds, and have a good night!
