Not hired because of religion, should I pursue legal action? [California]
In August of this year I had an interview with a large restaurant chain. During the interview I was asked by the interviewer(who I assume was the manager), "How do you behave in church?". In all honesty I was so shocked, my tone of voice completely changed and I fumbled with coming up with an answer, and I'm almost certain we both knew I was not being genuine. I didn't want to flat out say, "I don't attend church because I'm an atheist", so I tried to give an answer I felt he wanted to hear, because I really needed the job(broke college kid life). Immediately after my answer, he said to me, "I think this interview is done". No "thank you", or when I should expect to hear back. Is this grounds for a lawsuit against such a big company for one manager's mispractice?
