People from third world countries, How does your journey to financial independence look like?

Assuming your not part of the elite we can say that wages are significantly lower than that of American counterparts.

That said how do you envision your ideal future of financial independence and what is the plan? Does it bother you that you will probably never make as much as people from more developed countries like the US (making an assumption here) despite putting in way more effort if one were to choose the conservative Index fund route?

I myself live in a country where 30k a year is considered upper middle class. So Im asking for perspective
