Spark of Light vs. Going without it?

Brand new player here, wanted some input as to whether it would be a good idea to go ahead and use the Spark of Light, which automatically sets me at level 25, or should I play through the game as a beginner and go through the campaign normally? Is the main campaign something I can go through at level 25 and it won't be a chore? I've heard negative things but I want the full experience. Thanks guys!
