What do I do with my old materials,marks and guns?

Ok so there seems to be a bunch of stuff I can covert and turn in all of a sudden and I don't know which things I will still need and what is safe to just convert to glimmer and rep at this point and is there anything I should be saving my old legendaries for? The ones I don't like at least.
