S TIFU Punched my friend in the face

Hello reddit! This story took place last saturday.

I was bored that night. It was around 2 am. so I decided I would go out for a walk. I tend to do this alot since I greatly enjoy beeing out night time. I decided I would take my usual route. The route I picked usually isnt that popular during night time since there are no streetlights there. I put my earbuds in and exit my apartment complex. This is where the fuck up starts.

After having walked for about five minutes someone grabs my shoulder pretty hard and attempts to pull me backwards. I didn't hear this person approach me and I assumed I was gonna be robbed or beaten down since I've never seen anyone on this path during night before so I spin around and at the same time punch the person that grabbed me in the face.

Remember that I said this was saturday. I hear the person that I hit scream "You dick, why did you hit me?!''. This is when I realise who I just hit.

I share my apartment with my roommate who is a childhood friend of mine. He had been at a party that night and decided to go home a bit earlier then expected. Shitfaced as he was he had decided it was a food idea to scare me. We both went to the hospital the next day, him missing two of his teeth and me with a micro fracture in one of my fingers.

Tl;dr Drunk friend decided to scare me, accidently punched him in the face hurting us both.
