What should I look for when buying a briefcase?

Hi all,

I am a soon-to-be consultant and am looking for a stylish, practical, and fairly-priced briefcase. One that caught my eye is the Tumi Arrivé Narita Slim Briefcase (http://www.tumi.com/p/narita-slim-brief-025611NVY), which is on sale on the Tumi site. I've also looked into buying it used for a cheaper price. Would this briefcase make the cut as far as practicality? And it is ridiculously overpriced, even if bought used (say $250)?
