I'm gonna start from the beginning

I use to play destiny, and I stopped cause my ps3 broke. And I'm bout to buy a ps4 and start playing again from the beginning. Am I gonna run into any problems, cause from what I remember don't you have to play a bunch of the game with teammates? And I'll be starting from the beginning. Idk if this is a stupid thing to ask so don't be rude?
