If I told you a story about how we met, would you beleive it? Would you beleive that while driving down 84 I stopped to help an old couple change a flat, trying to refuse the $5 bill the kind old man stuffed in my shirt pocket. The same crumpled note of currency that I exchanged for a cup of coffee and $2.50 in change that I ended up spilling half of down my shirt before sitting down on a bench to enjoy the light, tepid, afternoon breeze. And as I turned to get up, ran straight into you, as neither of us was at that moment in our own heads but elsewhere.

You had a pen. I had no paper but the dollar bills that we exchanged numbers on, as I had left my phone at home and yours was dead.
